...for shoe drive support

Thank you to everyone who helped out with the AYEA recycle-a-shoe drive held at Juneau-Douglas High School in October. Due to the enthusiastic participation of students, teachers and administrators alike, we were able to keep an impressive 510 pounds of gym shoes out of the landfill by sending them off to be recycled into track material. A special thank you to Kathleen Gamble and Alaska Marine Lines transport who generously donated shipping for the shoes - without your generous support our project couldn't have been a success!
