Munoz, a Republican, will run for Juneau's House District 4, known as the Mendenhall Valley seat. Doll is the only announced candidate on the Democratic side.
Munoz said that, if elected, she'd work to support jobs and business.
"So many people are leaving, 500 in the last year alone," she said. "We have a need for diversity and family-supporting jobs."
"I will work hard to encourage opening the Kensington Mine, and support businesses that will pay family wage jobs," she said.
Munoz owns Ad Lib, a downtown retail gift store. She was appointed to the downtown seat on the Assembly in 1995, and re-elected twice. She since moved to District 4.
Munoz ran against Democratic state Sen. Kim Elton for a Senate seat in 2002 and narrowly lost, but carried the valley portion of the district 55 percent to 45 percent.
