Mia is a lazy cat. But with a face as pretty as hers she can get away with it. Mia is about five years old and spayed. She has medium fur and gorgeous tortoiseshell markings. She's waiting at the Gastineau Humane Society for just the right prince to come along and sweep her away to a life where the hardest thing she has to do is purr.

Sound off on the important issues at

Lysander is about six months old. He is a lot of fun for a young neutered male kitty. Any time you come near he will greet you with his talkative and curious personality. However, when left alone, he does a good job of lying about and dreaming about parakeets, goldfish and string.

Piper is an enthusiastic one and a half year old black and white kitty. He has long white whiskers and a pair of sparkling green eyes that will make your heart melt. He may be neutered but he is still a stud.

Cynthia might have a mug shot that makes her look like a rebel without a cause, but deep down she is a sweet kitty. She is five years old, spayed and has pretty black and tan stripes. No sir, she's not a hoodlum at all. In fact Cynthia might even seem shy at first. Come see the friendly, affectionate side of Cynthia.

Come visit these fair felines from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday or 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Gastineau Humane Society.
