For all ages, this event will feature DJ music suitable for ballroom dances. Alysia McLain will teach a Charleston-style swing dance lesson at 7:30 p.m., and the band will play at 8 p.m. Formal attire is encouraged.

According to JIF member Eric Nelson, the annual winter ball is one of the best dances of the year because of the large dance floor, music selected just for dancing, affordable price and classy, romantic setting perfect for dressing up.

"There will be lots of dancers wearing tuxedos or gowns," he said. "Of course, Ron Maas and the band have put considerable effort into their music, which will include lots of classic tunes suitable for swing, foxtrot and waltz, as well as some Latin selections. Their band is sounding great this fall and will feature several vocal numbers. Alysia will provide a quick Charleston lesson to show everyone how much fun Big Band swing dance can be."

Admission, which includes the lesson, is $10 for students and JIF members, and $15 general. For more information, call Eric Nelson at 209-8367.
