Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Barbara Jean Taug, 49, was arrested for drunken driving at 3 a.m. today near Glacier Avenue near Juneau-Douglas High School. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Assaults:
Police arrested a man, 38, for domestic violence assault, a misdemeanor, at 2:12 p.m. Thursday in the Mendenhall Valley. He was lodged at the state prison. Police believe alcohol was a factor.
Thefts:
A green backpack with miscellaneous personal items, valued at $180, was reported stolen at 8:38 a.m. Thursday from an unlocked vehicle near Marine Way.
A purse containing $7 was reported stolen at 9:07 a.m. Thursday near Egan Drive and Main Street.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A vehicle was reported keyed at 12:50 p.m. Thursday in a driveway near Sesame Street.
Hit-and-run incidents:
A 1992 Honda was reported struck by an unknown vehicle at 2:19 p.m. Thursday near Mendenhall Mall Road. Police did not have a damage estimate.
A Ford Explorer was reported struck by an unknown vehicle at 4:18 p.m. Thursday near Trinity Drive.
Other:
Capital City Fire and Rescue responded around midnight Thursday to a fire at a duplex on Marguerite Street. No one was injured in the blaze, which consumed a garage. The cause of the fire is unknown, but is being investigated. Fire officials were unavailable by midday to give a damage estimate.
