Posted: Friday, December 07, 2001

The Church of the Holy Trinity will offer a Christmas bazaar, complete with lunch and craft activities, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at McPhetres Hall, Fourth and Gold streets downtown.

The bazaar will include a number of craft tables for children of all ages to create Christmas gifts. Crafts will include cookie decorating, crocheting and beadwork.

Craft-making tables will be geared for young children as well as older ones and adults, said Terry Hoskinson, one of the organizers.

"There will be make-it-and-take-it tables including cookie-decorating for kids, clay ornament making for kids, bead garland making for kids and adults and crochet instruction for anyone who wants it," Hoskinson said.

Completed craft items also will be for sale, including woodwork, soaps, gift baskets, and fabric items. Baked goods and other items will also be on sale and gift wrapping will be offered.

"We started at the beginning of October," Hoskinson said. "We've been getting together every Saturday, decorating and doing various crafts and enjoying ourselves on a variety of projects."

Lunch will include homemade bread, soup, cookies and pie.
