Ski club gives members trails access
Membership in the Juneau Nordic Ski Club gives skiers access to trails near the Mendenhall Glacier and at the Eaglecrest Ski Area.
Dues go toward expanding and grooming trails and furthering educational opportunities.
The club encourages skiers who use trails often or who use the Upper Loop at Eaglecrest to buy gold memberships, which cost $78.75 and allow for use of the Hooter chair lift to reach the Upper Loop.
Silver members are those who frequently ski at the Lower Loop of Eaglecrest and at the Mendenhall Campground and Dredge Lakes. The membership costs $36.75.
Non-members who ski at the Lower Loop of Eaglecrest are required to purchase a $5 day pass. Upper Loop skiers who aren't members have to purchase the $5 day pass as well as a $5 two-way lift ticket.
