JUNEAU - The state's Division of Elections will recount the ballots in the Alaska House race between Fairbanks candidates Mike Kelly and Karl Kassel.
Republican incumbent Kelly leads the race by one vote. Democratic challenger Kassel formally requested the recount.
The recount will be held Tuesday morning in Juneau.
Kelly is seeking his third term.
Kelly's race won't tip the scales in the House.
Republicans currently hold a 22-18 majority and Nome Democrat Richard Foster normally sides with the majority.
