Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Joel Bjerkeset, 32, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Franklin Street for drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A man reported at 8:30 a.m. Thursday near Herbert River than about 155 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a piece of machinery on his property.

A man, 32, reported at 10 a.m. Thursday at Juneau-Douglas High School that a black Nokia cell phone was stolen.

Underage drinking:

A man, 18, was arrested about 2:45 a.m. today at Carrs for underage drinking and concealing merchandise. He was lodged at the state prison.

Vehicle accidents:

Four people were treated at Bartlett Regional Hospital and released after a two-vehicle accident about 4:45 p.m. Thursday near Alaway Street and Glacier Highway. A woman, 30, driving a Plymouth Breeze, was cited for failure to yield. Four occupants of a Volkswagen Rabbit - men ages 30, 48 and 51, and a woman age 38 - were taken by ambulance to Bartlett with bruises mostly and released in good condition. The 30-year-old man also had a neck strain and was released in stable condition.

A girl, 15, was cited about noon Thursday near the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool for driving without a license. Police were responding to a report that she backed into a car driven by a man, 42.

A two-vehicle accident involving a car driven by a woman, 59, and a woman, 38, was reported at 12:45 p.m. Thursday on Egan Drive near Fred Meyer. Both cars were towed.


A girl, 17, was arrested about 9 p.m. Thursday at Switzer Village Mobile Home Park on an outstanding Juneau state troopers detention order. She was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.
