It didn't look like winter outside Saturday morning, but about two dozen runners got in the holiday spirit and participated in the Jingle Jog in the Mendenhall Valley.
While there was a wintery chill in the air, the intermittent precipitation was rain instead of the traditional snow. Runners - some decked out in holiday attire - braved the conditions to complete the 5-kilometer course. The race began at the JRC/The Alaska Club Mendenhall Valley location, went up Riverside Drive to Ptarmigan Street and returned to the club via the same route.
Don Eagle claimed first place in 17 minutes, 20 seconds, followed just one second later by John Bursell (17:21). Jordan Moser was the first women's finisher in 21:50.
