Posted: Thursday, December 09, 2010

The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council is now accepting registrations from artists seeking to enter creations in the 11th annual Wearable Art show.

The title and theme of this year's show is "Illuminate," and explores elements that glow, use blacklight or other lighting effects.

Artists are encouraged to use the online registration form at www.jahc.org. Problems filling out the application? Call 586-ARTS.

Applications are due no later than Jan. 15, 2011.

Aspiring artists and participants may want to attend a Q&A session about this year's show and wearable art in general, scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the JACC.

Wearable arts veterans David Walker, Joanie Waller and Temple Schneeberger will be present to offer some tips on the process, as well as director Patricia Hull.

RSVP to kari@jahc.org or call 586-2787, by Monday, Dec. 13.
