Extend road to those who don't have access

In response to Nancy Berland's letter on a Juneau access road being a waste of money, I find it fascinating how people who live on the road system don't see the need to extend that capability to those who don't. It is also fascinating that a $374 million one-time cost to build the road is a waste of money, but an $85-million-a-year ferry subsidy is considered a good investment.
