Former local vies for Paradise host position

A former Juneau resident has been selected as a semi-finalist in a worldwide host search for a new travel television series, "Paradise Hunter."

Amberly Brown, who grew up in Juneau and Sitka and now lives in Hawaii, was chosen with 40 other finalists from among 700 applicants from more than 20 countries. In the next round, five of the top 10 applicants will be chosen by popular vote. Public voting will continue until Dec. 15.
