Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

• Police arrested a woman, 21, for domestic violence assault at 12:59 a.m. today in the Lemon Creek area. She also was charged with criminal mischief and theft. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Police believe alcohol was a factor.

Thefts:

• A man, 19, was cited and released for shoplifting at 4:01 p.m. Tuesday near West Willoughby Avenue.

• Six lighted, candy cane-style lawn ornaments were reported stolen at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday from a front yard near Marilyn Avenue.

Other:

• Police found a 20-year-old woman dead from a self-inflicted shotgun wound around noon Tuesday on the trail at the end of Judy Street. Police did not release the woman's name and they do not suspect foul play.

• Police arrested a man, 46, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor, at 10:08 a.m. Tuesday near South Franklin Street. He was lodged at the state prison. Bail was set at $100. Police believe alcohol was a factor.

• A man, 36, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday near South Franklin Street for disorderly conduct. He was lodged at the state prison. Police believe alcohol was a factor.
