Longtime Juneau resident, Bonnie Lee (Hulse) Nelson, 74, died Dec. 8, 2005, in Juneau.
She was the second born of seven to Virgil Sr. and Leota (O'Keefe) Hulse on Dec. 18, 1931, in Seattle. She moved in 1934 to Juneau. She attended Juneau High School. Her and her husband, Axel, raised their children in Juneau.
She was a child-care provider and homemaker. Her friends and family said she "lived a full and blessed life. She had a fabulous sense of humor and spirit that stayed with her even through her illness."
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dick Hulse.
She is survived by her husband; her children, Linnea Mayer, Tami Hayes and her husband, Richard, Art Nelson, Dale Nelson, Jerry Nelson, Tom Nelson and his wife, Wendy; her sisters, Carmen Fagg and Charm Hoff; her brothers, Virgil, Gary and Fred Hulse; her 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Ole Nelson, and his wife, Barbara, and his son, Norval; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Nelson residence from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 18 at 1635 Fritz Cove Road.
