Roughhouse Boxing at Marlintini's Lounge kicked off with wedding bells instead of fighters ringing each other's bell as Rooney Hasselquist and the former Jamiann Parduhn exchanged marital vows before the start of Friday's 10-bout card.
Both followed up the nuptials by winning their respective bouts.
"We wanted to get married and we figured what better place to do it then in the boxing ring where we both fight," Jamiann Hasselquist said.
She followed her wedding vows with hard punches and quick footwork in a split-decision win over Cheri Phillips.
Rooney Hasselquist then won his bout when he was awarded a disqualification victory over Justice "Cheesy" Cortese. Rooney Hasselquist caught his opponent with a solid uppercut in the first round before the referee ended the proceedings in the second round.
"It was nice to win as the underdog," Rooney Hasselquist said.
In the night's main event, Julio "The Haitian Sensation" Gregorie battled Mike "The Wrench" Morris. Gregorie controlled the fight from the opening bell en route to earning a technical knockout.
In other bouts, Juneau's Fred Olsen earned a decision over Sitka's Ronald "Raven" Wheat.
Olsen forced the referee to issue Wheat a standing eight count in the second round. Wheat responded in the third by attacking Olsen's ribs, but the Juneau fighter did enough to earn the win.
"It's true what they say," Olsen said. "If you keep your jab out there, you can tag 'em."
Meanwhile, 55-year-old Wang Fu Smallwood defeated 27-year-old Josh "Unknown" Hintermeister by unanimous decision while Shawn "The Comeback Kid" Beaird topped Jameek "The Beast" Cortese.
In the heavyweight division, Walter "Showstoppa" Brown earned a split decision over Steven Frank.
In a special women's bout, Desiree "The Rebel" Marble defeated Heather "The Damager" Davis.
In other action, Michael Garrison earned a TKO over Roger Murrell 42 seconds into the second round. Garrison caught Murrell with a punch in the jaw to earn the win.
Earl "Georgia Boy" Wentworth also won via TKO when multiple body shots to Al Garrison ended the bout in the second round.
