Sunday, Dec. 14

• Holiday Ice Extravaganza - The Juneau Skating Club will hold its Holiday Ice Extravaganza performance from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Treadwell Ice Arena. It will highlight Juneau's figure skaters, JSC's adult synchronized skating team and coaches. A dessert auction will kick off the event. Monday, Dec. 15

• Jambaars Youth Soccer Academy clinic - Get ready for the 2008 Holiday Cup Soccer Tournament by joining the newly founded Jambaars Youth Soccer Academy's first clinic, to be held Dec. 15-20 (except Dec. 16), at Floyd Dryden Middle School gym. Open to elementary (8 years and older) and middle school players of all levels and ages, the team is coached by Moctar Diouf. This clinic will provide for an intro to new Holiday Cup Tournament rules, scrimmage, fundamental/advanced soccer skills, conditioning and great coaching staff. • Youth basketball skills clinic - There will be basketball skills clinics for 5- to 9-year-olds at 1:15 p.m., and for 10- to 18-year-olds at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School gym. Info: Cody, 586-5226.

Dec. 20-31

• Holiday Cup - The 16th annual Holiday Cup competitive indoor soccer tournament will be held Dec. 20-31. There are five coed divisions: Elementary Division (grades 4-5, minimum age 9), Middle School Division, Junior High School Division (ages 16 and under), Senior Division (players age 17-20), and Masters Division (age 21 and older). Coaches and managers interested in sponsoring a team must submit a roster by 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Law Offices of Dillon & Findley, 350 N. Franklin St. Team entries only. • Adult coed volleyball team registration - Packets for Juneau Parks & Recreation's adult coed volleyball teams are available on the second floor of the Municipal Building, Room 218. Team registration will be held at 5 p.m. Jan. 8 in the Assembly Chambers, located on the main floor of the Municipal Building, 155 South Seward Street. Late registration will be taken on Jan. 9 at the Parks & Rec Office. • Adult soccer - The Capital City Soccer League is offering adult soccer at the Dimond Park Fieldhouse. Classic Women League for beginning players is from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday nights. Cost is $35. Games played October-December. Masters Co-ed League for men over 30 and skilled women players is 7:30-9 p.m. Friday nights. Cost is $35. Games played October-December. • Court rentals - Community Schools has court rentals available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School. Cost is $30 per hour, per court. To reserve time, call 780-2075.

• HoopTime basketball registration - HoopTime Basketball is taking registration for players in grades 4-8. The 2009 HoopTime season begins Jan. 5. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration deadline is Nov. 30. Late registration ends Dec. 6. Forms can be found at /www.hoop-time.org/. Mail the forms to P.O. • Juneau Skating Club - The Juneau Skating Club's first session of the year began Sept. 19. Classes meet once a week for six weeks.
