Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


A man reported at 12:11 p.m. Tuesday near Mendenhall Mall Road that a starter was stolen out of his tow truck and a driver's side rear door was stolen from a vehicle sometime Monday night.

Hit-and-run incidents:

A man reported at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday near Mallard Street that someone struck his 1999 Ford pickup, damaging the right rear quarter panel.

Animal encounters:

A bear was reported at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday at Churchill Trailer Court near Churchill Way.

Alcohol-related calls: 2.

Crime Line

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for a vandalism and theft in the Thunder Mountain area. On Nov. 9, two 15-inch Rockford/Fosgate subwoofers in a speaker box were stolen from a vehicle. The speakers are valued at $250. The vehicle the speakers were in also was damaged. Police did not have an estimate of that damage.
