ind it a sad and sorry situation when people say that Alaska's resources consist of only timber, fish and minerals. This magnificent state has a bountiful resource of artists, writers, creative people, innovative entrepreneurs, Native and non-Native. Their works are selling world wide. Many of these people have benefited from the University of Alaska system. Isn't it time some state administration recognize we are not the "last frontier," but we are the frontier of creative and yet traditional cultures?
