Motor vehicle accidents:

• A Toyota struck a Ford Explorer in the rear at 9:14 p.m. Wednesday on inbound Egan Drive at Mendenhall Loop Road. Total damages in the accident were estimated at $500.

Theft:

• A woman reported at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday her black purse, black wallet, athletic shoes, Panasonic compact disc player, JVC headphones, CDs and identification were stolen Monday night near Whittier Street.

• A woman reported her black backpack-style purse was stolen at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday from the area of Mendenhall Mall Road. The purse contained identification, the woman reported.

• A man reported his blue Nokia cellular telephone was stolen at 9:33 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

• A man reported a green Giant mountain bike and a blue GT mountain bike were stolen at 10:04 a.m. Thursdaynear Meadow Lane in the area of the airport. The bikes were valued at $500 each.
