New fast ferry christened

Catherine Stevens, wife of Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens, breaks a bottle of champagne over the bow of the fast ferry Chenega on Saturday at the Derecktor shipyard in Bridgeport, Conn. The sister ship to the Fairweather - and Alaska's second fast ferry - is scheduled to begin daily service in late May between Cordova, Whittier and Valdez.
