I guess I have too much time to think about stuff. Is it just me or does anyone else wonder why Pike's Waterfront Lodge in Fairbanks is "proudly" sponsoring ads for the "fair and balanced" Fox news network that GCI Cable is running on CNN? I've never seen a relatively small private business sponsor ads for a national TV network before. Pike's Waterfront Lodge is owned by Jay Ramras, Republican representative to the Alaska Legislature from Fairbanks. Does anyone know if those ads are running in Anchorage and Fairbanks also, or just in mostly progressive Juneau? I would like Rep. Ramras to disclose the funding source for those ads.
