Eaglecrest Ski Area board of directors announced Jamie Paddock, a Montessori eighth-grader, and Juneau-Douglas High School student Curtis Green-Enix, as the winners of this year's 2007-08 Hilary Lindh Season Pass Scholarships.

Paddock, who began skiing at age 3, dreams of becoming an Olympic skier. She is a three-year veteran of the ski team and has won three ribbons and three medals in her career.
Floyd Dryden field trips first exposed Green-Enix to the mountain. This season he wants to tackle the Ptarmingan runs and has a goal of mastering the more difficult west side of Eaglecrest.
Both scholarship winners demonstrated strong academic achievement and drive as well as a passion for skiing and the mountain, important selection criteria for three person committee who determined the winners this year. In addition, the selection committee also considers financial need.
