FAIRBANKS - A 27-year-old Fairbanks man was accused of firing a gun at police during a drug bust.

Dontaveon Ervin Green was arrested Thursday night. He is charged with attempted murder, weapons misconduct, drugs misconduct and assault.

Fairbanks police officers went with a search warrant to a 23rd Avenue apartment where drug activity was suspected. They also had been tipped about weapons being there.

Five officers stormed the apartment, announcing their presence.

That's when Green reportedly appeared from behind a wall and fired once at the officers.

Police say one of the officers returned fire, and Green ran to the back of the apartment.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Police say drugs and numerous handguns were seized. Green was arrested without further incidence.
