Police return second escapee to youth detention center

JUNEAU - A teenage boy was returned to Johnson Youth Center over the weekend, according to Juneau police.

Police located Tyler Allen, 16, through a tip from the Juneau Crime Line.

Allen was found Saturday at a residence in Lemon Creek. He had escaped from JYC with 17-year-old Robert Lee, who was located Dec. 1 at a hotel and returned to the detention center.

The boys scaled a fence on Nov. 27 when they escaped.

Police have not said why the boys are incarcerated.
