The Alaska Department of Education & Early Development is seeking student interns for spring 2011. It is looking for student voices in education decisions, especially related to how Alaska provides technology tools in the classroom.
Students will be expected to participate in online forums weekly, where their posts will be viewed by policy makers, business people and community members. Students who are in grades 10-12 may earn up to three university credits.
Each school may nominate one student in each of these age groups: grades 2-4, 5-8 and 9-12. Students should talk to their principals or technology coordinators for more information. Applications are due Jan. 14, 2011.
