Isaac Rousseau Peterson, of Sitka, has completed all requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical science with a minor in aviation weather from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Ariz. As part of his degree program, Peterson interned with Alaska Airlines Flight Operations in Seattle, Wash. He is a founding member of the Cappa Phi Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at ERAU. A 2002 graduate of Sitka High School, Peterson is the son of Gail Johansen and Reginald Peterson Sr., of Sitka; paternal grandson of the late Angle and Lydia (Austin) Peterson, of Juneau; and maternal grandson of W. Ann (Lindsay) Johansen, of Tiffin, Ohio, and the late Howard N. Johansen, of Fremont, Ohio. Peterson was given the Tlingit name Yahnda Kin Yeil, "Flying Raven," by his maternal Tlingit grandmother, the late Cecila (Yarkon) Kunz, of Juneau, and L'ooknaxh.adi, Coho, Raven, from Dighinaa Hit, Outwards House, in Sitka.
