BETHEL - Police arrested a 51-year-old Hooper Bay man accused of attacking a relative with a rifle after driving home drunk on a snowmachine.

The Tundra Drums reported that Hooper Bay police responded to a complaint of a man shooting a rifle inside a home Saturday night.

Police determined that Ike Hill had grabbed the loaded weapon and swung it at one of three people inside the house. Hill then fired a shot into the floor.

Hill has been lodged at the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel on charges of assault, reckless endangerment and driving under the influence.
