PORTAGE GLACIER - The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is assisting the state Department of Fish and Game in placing the second motherless cub in a month from Kodiak.

KTUU reports the orphaned cub was found earlier this month wandering on its own.

The cub, named Shaguyik, arrived Saturday and will stay at the Portage Glacier nonprofit center until a permanent home is found for him.
