Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Vincente Pajinag, 44, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. Friday near Renninger Street for drunken driving and driving without a license. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A girl reported at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Juneau-Douglas High School that her dark gray Nokia cell phone and $20 in cash were stolen from her locker.

At 3 p.m. Friday, about $200 in cash was reported stolen from a man, 56, near Salmon Creek Lane.

Vehicle accidents:

A 1987 Jeep, driven by a woman, 22, was cited for failing to maintain a safe distance at 1:45 p.m. Friday near 10th Street and the Douglas Bridge. Her vehicle slid into a city bus. Combined damage was $450.

At 3 p.m. Friday near 10th Street, a 1992 Chevy Caprice, driven by a man, 47, slid into a 1992 GMC truck driven by a boy, 16. The Chevy had $1,200 damage.

Animal encounters:

Two bears were reported at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Lemon Creek area.


A clerk at the downtown library turned in to police two backpacks at 10 a.m. Friday. One contained women's clothing.
