Former Juneau resident Michael Lee Anderson died Nov. 24, 2002, in Van Alstyne, Texas.
He was born March 10, 1979, in Juneau to Marlyn L. and Magaret L. McBryde Anderson. He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and was pursuing an engineering degree in Texas.
His family says he was a very responsible person. He began working at age 14 for his father at Lyle's Hardware and Furniture. He was working at Texas Instruments as a wafer fabrication specialist. He was in a jazz band in high school and was a member of the Professional Association of Divers. He was to be married June 20.
He is survived by his parents, M.L. Andy and Margie Anderson of Sherman, Texas; sister Melissa L. Richerson and husband, Darrell, of Sherman, Texas; niece Megan A. Richerson of Sherman, Texas; fiancée Jennifer Grifith of Howe, Texas, and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Myrtle Anderson and William and Nelma McBryde.
A celebration of life will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Juneau. Services were held Nov. 29 in Sherman.
