ANCHORAGE - The Anchorage School Board wants to ask voters to approve three bonds totaling $81 million for school improvements.
They would pay for renovations and upgrades at Service High School, voc-tech facilities and at several middle and elementary schools.
The bond issues approved Tuesday by the board must be approved by the Anchorage Assembly before going to voters in April. The assembly will take public testimony on Feb. 1.
If approved, the bonds would be repaid through property taxes and state funds.
