Driving while intoxicated:
Police arrested Jay McGehee shortly after midnight Thursday on Mendenhall Loop Road for drunken driving and for failure to report an accident. McGehee was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle was left legally parked.
Shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, Drena Austin, 44, was arrested for drunken driving, driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent and driving with a revoked license. The traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Glacier Highway and Anka Street. Austin was transported to and lodged at state prison. Her red 1989 Honda was impounded.
Just before midnight Friday, Henry Michael Deppner Jr., 34, was arrested on Egan Drive outbound in the Switzer area for drunken driving after an officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving. Deppner was additionally charged with refusal to take a blood test. He was transported to and lodged at state prison.
Thefts, lost and found property:
About 3:30 p.m. Friday, a man, 56, reported he had found a blue boys' Magna bicycle on Dudley Street.
About 5:30 p.m. Friday, a man (no age given) reported a lost black leather wallet containing a large amount of cash lost in the downtown area.
About 2:30 p.m. Friday, a boy, 17, and a boy, 15, were arrested on Glacier Avenue for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and transported to Johnson Youth Center.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from Sitka Station airlifted a Klawock teen-ager who suffered a possible drug overdose Friday afternoon. The boy was taken to Ketchikan General Hospital for treatment.
Capital City Fire & Rescue responded at 12:18 p.m. Saturday to a chimney fire at a residence on Pine Street. No one was injured. A damage estimate was not available.
Capital City Fire & Rescue responded at 3:21 p.m. Saturday to a grease fire in a kitchen in N building at Gruening Park. No one was injured. A damage estimate was not available.
About 9:30 p.m. Friday, a boy, 19, was contacted on a traffic stop on Irwin Street and subsequently cited for minor consuming of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle after consuming. The vehicle, a blue 1965 Ford Mustang, was impounded.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a bear on Meadow Lane.
A Coast Guard rescue helicopter from Sitka airlifted a Klawock woman, 27, Friday evening. The woman suffered complications from a possible pulmonary embolism. She was taken to Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital for treatment.
