Word of Mouth gives readers a forum to express opinions on a variety of issues by telephone. Calls must be limited to one minute. We reserve the right to edit calls for clarity, length and libel. Callers must leave their name and a number at which they can be contacted (usually between 8 a.m. and noon). In support of Paula Rorhbacher's "My Turn" column of Dec. 8, Paula emphasized that the parties in a sexual abuse case should be able to get the story out. Typically, however, the one abused has the hardest time getting their story considered and the stigma falls often more on the victim for saying their piece than on the accused, whose friends rally for their defense while admittedly not knowing the facts. The only remedy is truly searching for the facts and not prejudging the situation, and therefore supporting anyone who will have the courage to make their own personal experiences known. And Paula, you go, girl.
