Oldaker reappointed

Lawrence Lee Oldaker of Juneau has been reappointmented to the Teaching Practices Commission. Oldaker was first appointed to the commission in 2000 and is serving as the board's current chairman. He is a professor emeritus at the university of Alaska Southeast, where he continues to teach and conduct research in school law, ethics and policy analyses.

Kyle named editor

Tara Kyle of Juneau was named the new editor of the college paper "The Dartmouth" at Dartmouth College. At the newspaper, she will manage a 100-person staff and the $350,000 newspaper budget. Kyle will graduate from Dartmouth in the spring of 2004 and is spending her junior year in Edinburgh, Scotland.
