Firefighters sponsor Santa Claus visit

JUNEAU - Capital City Fire and Rescue will sponsor a Santa Claus visit Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. downtown.

A fire truck with Santa and firefighters giving out candy canes will begin at the Mount Roberts Tramway and include a pass on Franklin and Fourth streets, Calhoun Avenue, Twelfth Street, Glacier Avenue, Highland Drive and Behrends Avenue in the downtown area. At about 7:45 p.m., the procession will head across the Douglas Bridge and onto Cordova Street, Foster Avenue and around the loop at Ceder Park. It will arrive in Douglas at about 8:30 p.m.
