Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Police arrested Robert Bell, 41, on a drunken driving charge at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglas Bridge. Police lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.
Police arrested a man, 31, on an assault charge at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday near South Franklin Street. They lodged him at the state prison.
Motor vehicle accidents:
Police cited a man, 50, on a charge of running a red light in an accident at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday on outbound Egan Drive at Salmon Creek that sent a woman to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries. The man, driving a 1994 Toyota Camry, ran into the side of a 2000 Dodge Avenger, driven by the woman, 20. Both cars were reportedly totaled.
A 1992 Subaru and a 2004 Subaru were involved in an accident at 9:04 a.m. Thursday on Glacier Highway and Lena Loop Road. Damage to the newer Subaru was estimated at $3,500. Damage to the older Subaru was estimated at $500.
One person was evaluated at the scene of an accident at 11:45 a.m. Thursday on Mendenhall Loop Road near University of Alaska Southeast housing. The accident involved a Chevrolet truck and a Saturn.
Hit and run:
A woman reported at 8:25 p.m. Thursday that her 1998 Dodge Neon was hit by an unknown vehicle overnight Tuesday near Jordan Avenue. Damage was estimated at $1,500 to $2,000.
A woman reported at 10:01 a.m. Thursday that her 1990 Chevrolet was hit by an unknown vehicle sometime during the morning near Hospital Drive.
A man reported at 11:51 a.m. Thursday that his 1992 Honda Prelude was struck by an unknown vehicle sometime overnight near Marine Way downtown. Damage to the front fender was estimated at $1,100.
A woman reported at 1:02 p.m. Wednesday the theft of her quarter-carat diamond earrings from the Northwood Drive area of Lemon Creek. The earrings were valued at $350.
A shopping bag containing about 30 compact discs and 10 cassette tapes was turned in to police at 3:59 a.m. after it was reportedly found near Riverside Drive in the Mendenhall Valley.
A wallet was turned in to police at 7:45 a.m. Thursday after it was reportedly found downtown.
A woman reported at 10:54 a.m. Thursday that she had lost a carved silver bracelet somewhere in the Juneau area.
Police cited a woman, 43, on a charge of driving without a license at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday on Glacier Highway near Alaway Avenue in the Lemon Creek area.
Police arrested a woman, 28, at 12:42 a.m. Thursday near Postal Way in the Mendenhall Valley on an outstanding warrant charging her with failing to report to jail to serve time on theft. She was lodged at the state prison.
