Congratulations and thanks to the new Palin administration. Several of our nation's newspapers including the New York Times and Houston Chronicle (Dec. 15) featured an article titled, "Alaska's governor keeps promise; dumps predecessor's jet."
Sound off on the important issues at
The article consists of plainly stated facts: the cost of the jet, its uses, that it is to be sold on eBay, etc.
The importance of this article, however, lies in one statement:
"The aircraft came to symbolize what critics called Murkowski's disconnection from Alaska voters, who often frown on government excess though are routinely among the country's biggest beneficiaries of federal spending."
This is good press for all Alaskans and for our new governor. She deserves a round of applause.
