Quoted from their Web site, "Granny Ball is an exciting and more genteel basketball league for women 50 years and older who still enjoy an active lifestyle and a competitive spirit. Teams are forming now in the Chicago area with future plans of national expansion."

Those of us who are female and almost 55 years old remember when we were excluded from all high school team sports due to our gender and don't want to go back to the '60s.
