Mitch and Monique Mitchell, at right and left, owners of the Super 8 Motel in Juneau, donate more than 95 pounds of nonperishable food items, in the amount of $440, Dec. 12 to the Southeast Alaska Food Bank. Accepting the donation is food bank manager Darren Adam. The Mitchells participated in a trivia contest, sponsored by Suber 8 Motel owners the Penninsula Group LLC, who turned the play money winnings into real money for each manager to donate to a cause. The Super 8 Motel will conduct a food drive until Jan. 2. Anyone bringing nonperishable food donations will receive $5 off the cost of one room for a night.
