JUNEAU - The Alaska State Museum will be closed to the public on Christmas and New Year's. The museum will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 for these state and federal holidays.
We will be open regular hours the day after Christmas. The museum will not stay open for extended hours on First Friday in January, the day after New Year's Day, but will be open regular hours that day.
Winter hours at the museum are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. General admission is $3. Visitors 18 and under are admitted free of charge. An annual pass that allows unlimited visits to the Alaska State Museum and the Sheldon Jackson Museum in Sitka is available for $15.
