ANCHORAGE - An Anchorage man has been sentenced to 101 years in prison for killing two people.

Twenty-seven-year-old Ryan Sanders was sentenced Friday in the deaths of 20-year-old Travis Moore and 17-year-old Ashlee Richards. A jury convicted him last August.

He will be eligible for parole in 2040.

Authorities say the killings stemmed from an argument between Sanders and Moore on Jan. 1, 2007. After Moore was shot, he fled to the front porch of the home where his body was found.

Richards, who was not involved in the altercation between the men, also fled the home. Sanders pursued her. Eyewitnesses testified that Sanders shot the teen five times in the back as she lay in the street.
