FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of a man serving life in prison for the death of a 19-year-old convenience store clerk in Fairbanks.
Marvin Wright was convicted of Trisha Warren's murder following a three-week trial in 2007.
His attorney took issue with several aspects of the trial, including the judge declining to let him raise the prospect that the killing was linked to the still-unsolved death of another convenience store clerk about 15 months earlier, when Wright was in custody on another case.
The News-Miner reports that the appeals court rejected those arguments last week. At trial, at least seven people, including two former girlfriends, implicated Wright in the killing.
