It's been a holiday tradition in the capital city since 1992, and this season 32 teams in six different divisions will play for the right to be named champions of the 17th Annual Holiday Cup Indoor Soccer Tournament at Wells Fargo Dimond Field House.
The tournament began with only four teams and has flourished, attracting as many as 34 teams in previous years, and now the Holiday Cup has more than 400 athletes, ages ranging from 9 years old to participants in their 60s.
Round-robin play began Saturday and will culminate in playoffs and a championship round for each of the six divisions on New Year's Eve.
