Dancer Brittany Troutt will be teaching four dance workshops this week for beginning and advanced dancers.
Troutt, 18, grew up in Juneau and began dancing at age 5. She worked with Janice Holst, Juneau Dance Unlimited and the JuneauDouglas High School dance team, formerly known as the drill team. She graduated last year. She's attending a dance program at the University of California at Irvine and is also studying with private choreographers and instructors in Los Angeles.
She said the workshops are an opportunity to share what she's learned in recent months.
Troutt will teach intermediate and advanced classes from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, noon to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Scottish Rite Temple. The cost is $25. Next week she'll offer beginning dance classes for younger students grades 3 to 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 28 and 29, and the cost is $20. For more information call 790-2007.
