DeWitt, Lakip wed

Mica Jean Lakip, of Juneau, and John Joseph DeWitt, of Albuquerque, N.M., were married in a private candlelit ceremony on Nov. 2, 2007, at Pearson's Pond. They will have a renewal ceremony for all their friends and family on their one-year anniversary in Luz, Portugal.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Leah Lakip. A graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School, she is an admistrative assistant for Coeur Alaska and massage therapist for Chez Sante.

The groom is the son of Christopher and Nancy DeWitt. A graduate of Sandia High School, he is a journeyman for Jeffus & Williams.

The couple will honeymoon after the renewal ceremony in Ireland. They make their home in Juneau.
