bers of the Juneau Jewish Community gather at the Salvation Army on Sunday evening to celebrate the third day of Hanukkah. The Jewish festival, known as the Festival of Lights, began this year on Dec. 19 and lasts eight days. Hannukah commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the Hellenistic Syrians in a revolt that took place over 2000 years ago.
