Civics, conservation summit held in April

The sixth annual Civics and Conservation Summit, where teens from around the state meet for four days to learn to become effective voices for change, will take place April 14 to 18 in Juneau. Students will learn how to talk to and meet media, legislators and fellow peers. Sponsored by Alaska Youth for Environmental Action, a program of the National Wildlife Federation.
The summit is limited to 15 students. Applications are due Feb. 15. Cost is $200. Limited scholarships available.
