Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Shortly after midnight Friday, Robert V. Smith, 39, was arrested on Ferry Way for drunken driving, refusal to take a breath test and driving without a valid license. He was transported to and lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center. His vehicle was impounded.

About 2:45 a.m. Saturday, a girl, 16, was arrested on James Boulevard for minor operating of a vehicle after consuming alcohol. She was released to her parent. The vehicle was left legally parked.

About 4 a.m. Saturday, John Bickar, 27, was arrested on Egan Drive inbound at the retaining wall for drunken driving. He was additionally charged with reckless endangerment. He was transported to and lodged at state prison. The vehicle was impounded.

Thefts, lost and found property:

About 9:30 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a green purse missing at the Juneau Airport. The purse contained identification.

Warrant arrest:

Shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, a woman, 19, was arrested at Cedar Park on an outstanding Juneau Alaska State Troopers warrant for failure to complete substance-abuse counseling stemming from her sentence for an original charge of fourth-degree assault. She was transported to and lodged at state prison.

Underage drinking:

Police responded to the report of a vehicle accident shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday at University Housing on Back Loop Road. They arrested a woman, 18, for minor operating after consuming. She was provided courtesy transport to her residence after processing. The vehicle was impounded.

Vehicle accidents:

At 11:05 a.m. Friday, Capitol City Fire & Rescue responded to the report of an accident at Egan Drive and Mendenhall Loop Road. One injured person was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Animal encounters:

Police responded shortly after 9 p.m. Friday to a report of a bear struck by a vehicle on Mendenhall Loop Road. The bear was mortally wounded and was euthanized. Fish and Game responded and retrieved the bear's remains.

Other:

On Thursday, a man, 25, was charged with failure to provide a DNA sample as ordered by the court. Troopers contacted him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
