No reason for recount

I cannot understand why the Division of Elections felt it was necessary to have recounts in the Murkowski and June races. Both Knowles and June lost outside the margin of error and we are talking about a Washington state gubernatorial election here. These recounts should have never taken place and the Democrats should have posted enough money to cover the recount expenses. I blame the elections office as well as the Democrats for having this recount take place.

Elections are decided by voters, not exits polls. It is time for the Alaska State Democratic Party to cough up the additional $40,000. Plus, it really amazes me what poor sports Democrats are when they lose elections. Richard Nixon did not contest the l960 election, which was stolen from him by the Democrats.
